V-Active® technology

The evolution of VCIs (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors), V-Active® is the newest generation of organic inhibitors synthesized using plant oils, with excellent performance in contact and vapour phases, forming a passivation layer which prevents access of the corrosive substance to the metal.

V-Active® has a differentiated molecular structure, safe for people and the environment that remains active on the substrates where it is applied: paints, resins, varnishes, plastics, process fluids and cellulosic products, among others. Thus, the name V-Active®.

In the presence of metals, V-Active® acts effectively in the vapour phase and by contact, interfering in the electrical activity, which grants stability to the metallic surface. Proven to be the most active inhibitor, V-Active® remains the longest on metallic surfaces due to a strong bond preference which even makes metallic contamination particles inert.
